What is a Key Performance Indicator for a Life Sciences Project?

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) depend on what type of project you are doing. A common KPI for a life sciences project is on-time performance. A KPI could be setup to measure +/- 1% of the actual time it took you to complete a project. For example, if the project was due on September 31 and you finished it on September 28, you completed it early at +3%. If you finished the project one day late, you completed it late at -1%. Other common KPIs for life sciences projects are quality, budget and resources. Sometimes KPIs are part of a formula for a bonus or other incentives.
